ABC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  As a cooperative committed to developing the skills, systems, and confidence of people and projects working towards a just world beyond capitalism, we strongly encourage people who are Black, Indigenous, people of color, women, trans, gender nonconforming, non-binary, intersex, two-spirit, lesbian, gay, queer, bisexual, disabled, immigrants, formerly incarcerated or system-involved, and from poor and working class backgrounds to apply.

Hiring Process

-Instead of a cover letter, we ask applicants to answer a set of questions in the application form related to the role (250 word limit per question). To minimize unconscious bias in our screening, we will assess answers anonymously based on the skills and requirements outlined in the job posting.  You will be required to upload a resume, but ABC will not look at your resume or any identifying information until you have been invited to a first round interview.  Initial interview decisions are based on the answers to the set of questions on the application form.

-If we decide not to move your application forward, we’ll let you know.

-If your application indicates a potential match for this position, we’ll schedule a first interview phone call.  We use structured interviewing, meaning we ask everyone the same basic set of questions shared with you in advance, and assess based on standardized, pre-established evaluation criteria related to the position requirements.  You’ll also have the chance to ask us questions.

-If your application moves forward, we’ll ask you for two reference contacts.

-We’ll schedule a video call for a second interview with structured questions and a job model exercise. ABC will pay an honorarium of $180 to applicants who complete second interviews to acknowledge the time involved.

-We’ll let you know our final decision.
