Job Summary: Health Care Integrated Services (HCIS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team.The instructor will report alternating days, Monday, Wed, and Friday 1.5 hours however will receive 4 hours a day for prep and classroom instruction. The next week the instructor will report on Tuesday and Thursday same hours.The ideal candidate will have a passion for clinical care and education, contributing to the health and development of our community.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and screenings for patients.
- Provide primary medical care, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Administer vaccinations and conduct wellness check-ups.
- Educate patients on wellness, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in School District IEP medical assessments.
Educational Duties:
- Enhance, review, and deliver digital curriculum for the Medical Assistant Hybrid Class.
- Provide instruction and training to students in clinical procedures, patient care, and medical protocols.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to help them succeed.
- Stay updated on current best practices in medical assisting and incorporate them into the curriculum.
- Mentor and support students in their educational and career development.
- Engage with administrative personnel to oversee ongoing monitoring and review of protocols and policies.
- Attend administrative meetings in-person and virtual.
- Other duties as necessary towards the success of the agency.
Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Prior teaching or educational experience is preferred.
- Willingness to obtain State of California Commission Teaching Credential.
- Willingness to travel at least 1 x a month to Riverside County for treatment services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
Working Conditions: - Part-time position with clinical duties 1-2 days per week (8 hours a week).
- Instructional duties 5 days per week 1 hour per day in a classroom setting (total 3 hours lesson + prep time).
- Summer schedule 2 to 3 days in person classroom, with 2 days possible field internship supervision, and 2 days virtual online class.
