ImmSchools is an immigrant-led nonprofit organization that partners with educators and community leaders to ensure safe and inclusive schools for undocumented and mixed-status students and their families. We envision a just and equitable education system where immigrant and undocumented students and families thrive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adapt and tailor trainings and resources for the school/district partner and educator audience served

• Deliver programming and session materials for both virtual and in-person community workshops

• Facilitate speaking engagements when assigned

• Adopt dynamic facilitation skills that engages multiple audiences which maintains retention in the program

• Collaborate with regional program team and utilize agency resource to effectively lead coordinated community sessions, workshops and office hours

• Be organized and complete basic data entry and administrative tasks after each session

• Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned

• Incorporate team, feedback and recommendations throughout the facilitation process

• Reports to Regional program manager and collaborates with ImmSchools national team as-needed

• Work Independently and Timely delivery of work (pre-work, follow-up, team check-ins)

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional/personal experience of working with immigrant and undocumented communities

• 1-3 years experience in similar roles leading and facilitating workshops

• Must be multilingual in one of the following: Spanish, Mandarin, Haitian Creole, Bengali, French among others  

• Passionate about equity, justice and community building

• Demonstrate cultural competency through familiarity in working with immigrants from a very diverse number of backgrounds such as undocumented Black, Asian and Latinx immigrants

• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

• Able to multitask efficiently and effectively

• Proven leadership and motivational skills

Salary

$41.2 - $41.2 per hour
