GRANT WRITER (TEMPORARY)
ABOUT IMMIGRANTS RISING
Founded in 2006, Immigrants Rising transforms individuals and fuels broader changes. With resources and support, undocumented people are able to get an education, pursue careers, and build a brighter future for themselves and their community. ABOUT THE CONTRACT POSITION
We are looking for a temporary grant writer to contract with Immigrants Rising and help us secure funding for our programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grant writing principles and be able to write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals.
ACTIVITIES
- Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals.
- Gather and organize supporting documentation.
- Work with program staff to ensure that grant proposals reflect the organization's mission and goals.
- Track the status of grant applications.
DELIVERABLES
- Weekly curated list of grants that Immigrants Rising could apply for
- Completed grant proposals
- Weekly updates on status of grant applications
TIME COMMITMENT
This is a temporary 4-month contract position with variable hours. There is a minimum commitment of 10 hours in September, and 5 to 10 hours/week from October to December. Hours will vary depending on the volume of grant applications.
DURATION OF CONTRACT
Contract term would be 4 months long for September 1, 2023 to December 30, 2023.
