Contract Immigration Attorney

Section 1: Company background

The Colorado Nonprofit Development Center (CNDC) serves as fiscal sponsor to Juntos. CNDC is dedicated to fostering a healthy and vibrant nonprofit sector in Colorado by enhancing the effective and efficient use of community resources. Our Mission: Juntos is building the biggest pipeline for DACA recipients to access upward mobility by preparing undocumented families for career success. We support them through the DACA application process and the entrepreneurial process to thrive financially. Specifically, we educate and train our community so they can be self-sufficient and self-advocates.

Our population served: We serve undocumented families, primarily DACA-recipients between ages 18-34.

Section 2: Contract Objectives

Objective Summary

We are looking for an immigration attorney to serve as an advisor to our DACA renewal service (DACAWorks) both in administration and systems infrastructure, as well as individual DACA renewal application review.

Scope of Work

Through January 29, 2023 (with possibility of extension depending on organizational needs), the contract attorney for Juntos will support with the following tasks:

  1. Oversee and advise the Juntos team on legal systems and processes as needed/requested to be in compliance with current laws.
  2. Review simple completed individual DACA renewal applications within a 24-hour turn around (business days). We do not do complex DACA renewal applications at this time (e.g., those involving criminal  convictions). Not necessary to meet with clients.  
  3. Provide training for our legal team as needed for DACA, Advance Parole, Info Pass, and other related work.


$50-$75/hour depending on experience.  As a part-time, contractor position, this position is not eligible for benefits.



The scope of work will require between 2 -8 hours per week. Contract attorney can work on their own timeline so long as requests and tasks are completed within a 24-hour notice (business days). Contract attorney will invoice Juntos on a weekly basis.


Primarily remote work (90%+), with potential for an occasional in-person meeting to train or collaborate with other Juntos staff.

We are looking for an immigration attorney(s) who is/are deeply committed to supporting DACA-recipients, can commit to our scope of work, can meet deadlines, and can align with our values of community, family, and equity.
