Description

The Social Justice Intern will support Legacy LA's community organizing and advocacy efforts by participating in citywide campaigns focused on Environmental Justice, Substance Use Disorder, and Invest in Youth initiatives. Interns will collaborate with youth, community members, nonprofit partners, and local policymakers to develop and implement policy change campaigns while promoting healthy youth development. Responsibilities include conducting research, assisting with grassroots organizing, attending and leading community events, using art as a tool for social change, and contributing approximately 20–25 hours per month throughout the academic year. Participants receive a monthly stipend of approximately $300 while gaining hands-on experience in leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.
