This is achieved through providing scholarship opportunities, resources, and programs around the values of diversity, resilience, empowerment, advocacy and mentorship.Provides the full range of assessment, counseling, and advice to targeted students, and makes referrals to organization and community resources. Works independently, receiving guidance on complicated problems / situations. Under the general direction of the DREAM Center director, the incumbent is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of programs and services to engage and support undergraduate and graduate students impacted by immigration status as undocumented or students from mixed-status families at UCI. In addition, the assistant director is responsible for identifying and collaborating with on- and off- campus resources and partners to help undocumented students address and overcome obstacles to success and well-being. The assistant director is also responsible for assisting leadership, strategic planning, and direction for the DREAM Center, which will support undocumented UCI students by serving as a clearinghouse for resources and information as well as a safe space for building community.
