Description
Under general supervision of the Director, provide oversight for pre-graduate, post-baccalaureate, graduate, and professional school student engagement with the AB540 and Undocumented Student Center. The coordinator creates and implements educational programs and retention initiatives related to post-graduation preparation and navigation including but not limited to preparatory workshops (resume and cover letter writing, negotiation skill-building, etc.), graduate program selection, inclusive graduate funding identification, and entrepreneurial development. Supervises a Graduate Student who co-creates social programming and student advocacy initiatives for current graduate and professional UCD school students. Responsible for leading and implementing special projects and outreach to participants in innovative programs, notably including the Mentorship & Professional Development program, ImmiGrad, and more. Provide assessment, advice, and referrals for students seeking support with applying to and thriving within graduate and professional school programs.
