The Community Safety Through Youth Power Fellowship is a paid 28-week professional development program for youth organizers leading the narrative in youth justice. The goal of the fellowship is to empower young individuals who are system-impacted or impacted by trauma/violence to change the narrative surrounding Youth Incarceration and Youth Justice. Fellows will develop media and research skills to create a new narrative about the impact of crime in communities of color, influence policy-making processes, advocate for equitable legislation, and increase youth engagement in political discussions. Applicants must be 14-24 years old, systems impacted and/or trauma impacted, a person of color, and interested in storytelling.
