Description
Black Vision is a Black-led, Queer, and Trans centering organization seeking youth participants (ages 18–22) for the Environmental Justice Fellow Program. This fellowship centers environmental justice through the lens of public safety, collective care, and community power. Fellows will learn the foundations and history of environmental justice, gain hands-on experience in community organizing and outreach, and build relationships with other youth leaders. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 22, live in Minneapolis, be interested in environmental justice, and be available for 14 to 16 hours per week to attend in-person sessions. The fellowship runs for 10 weeks from mid-April to the end of June. Fellows will meet 2-3 times in person per week for training sessions, workshops, and organizing activities, with occasional weekend events. Fellows will be compensated $25 per hour for participation, a $400 cellphone and transportation stipend, and a $200 wellness stipend. The deadline to apply has been extended to April 10.
