Description
The MADS scholarship is open to first generation college students, regardless of immigration status, who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and a commitment to community involvement.
This scholarship seeks to award $500 scholarships to students attending a Community College and $1,000 scholarships to undergraduate students attending a four-year College/University. Please make sure you have read the MADS Scholarship Criteria before you start the application. Below you will find a few eligibility requirements to keep in mind before you apply.

- Must be an undergraduate student at this time, graduate students will not be considered.
- Must be considered a full-time student or enrolled in at least 12 units at a 4-year institution, 2-year community college, or trade school.
- Be considered a first-generation college student, regardless of immigration status, who will be the first to attend U.S. institutions of higher learning in California, or member or related to a member of a COFEM affiliated Federation or Club.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- All students who wish to apply for the scholarship a second time will be asked complete volunteer hours in either our Los Angeles or Coachella office. Volunteer hours should be completed within one year of receiving the scholarship 20 hours for Community College recipients or 30 hours for students attending 4-year College/University.
