This full-time, one-year fellowship aims to build greater diversity in newsrooms and the wider journalism industry. Fellows will develop production skills, gain experience, receive one-on-one mentorship, and have the opportunity to bring their unique voice into the newsroom. Duties include monitoring sources for breaking news to cover, assisting with monthly analytics reporting, drafting stories for social media channels, and identifying areas of improvement to enrich Democracy Now's coverage. Applicants must have 2-3 years of experience with social media, familiarity with news writing in AP style, amd interest in a vast array of news on social media and beyond.
