Description
The IMME Becas Alas scholarship is a Mexican government program of the Instituto de Mexicanas y Mexicanos en el Exterior (IMME), designed to support Mexican nationals and individuals of Mexican or Latino origin. This one-time financial grant ranges from $1,000 to $1,500 USD, used for educational expenses. To be eligible to apply, applicants must be of Mexican or Latino heritage, be graduating high school seniors in 2026, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, provide a letter of acceptance from an accredited college, and submit a personal essay of up to 500 words. Applicants must also reside in one of the following California counties: Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare or Ventura. Additional documentation to be submitted includes proof of residency, verification of Mexican or Latino Heritage, academic transcript, and DACA documentation is applicable. The deadline to apply is September 4.
