The Mixteco/Indígena Community Organizing Project (MICOP) is hiring a Literacy Tutor to mentor adult students who are learning to read and write in Spanish. You will attend the training sessions offered by the Consulate of Mexico in Oxnard and the Academic Directorate of the Institute to support the learning of young and adult individuals. Responsibilities include planning teaching materials for classes, individually assisting adults in their learning, and delivering reports on the students' learning progress. To apply, you must be fluent in Spanish, have an associate's degree, and have excellent communication skills. This part-time position requires a flexible schedule from 6:00 pm to 8 pm on Monday and Tuesday, when classes are held. The pay ranges from $19 to $23 an hour. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
