Location: 100% remote - US-based Applicants Only

Commitment:

  • A minimum of 15 hours per week. Flexible hours and commitment to be established by the contractor and Neta.

Pay : $28-$38 per hour

  • Contractor (1099)
  • Hourly pay is to be determined based on experience and portfolio.

The Role

We are hiring a passionate designer to join our creative team to support our social-impact-driven work in creating culturally competent storytelling content that connects with various diverse audiences. The designer will support our work by creating social media graphics and ads, designing reports and presentations, developing creative strategies, creating branding guidelines and brand assets, etc. This role will work collaboratively with the Neta team and our partners and report directly to our Creative Manager or Brand Manager.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will be determined based on the applicant’s experience and interests. They may include the following.

  • Develop branding guidelines and packages. This includes working with the partner to identify their branding goals, design logos, and create branding guidelines.
  • Create illustrations and brand assets that match our partner's vision and branding. Assets may include stickers, icons, patterns, etc.
  • Create social media graphics for a variety of nonprofit clients and for Neta’s social media accounts.
  • Develop creative strategies for social media and ad campaigns, including identifying opportunities to utilize trends and different design styles.
  • Create mood boards for a variety of campaigns and projects.
  • Design newsletter templates for partners.
  • Designing reports and presentations that reflect our partner's branding and are engaging to their target audience.
  • Working with the website development team to create website mockups and provide design support to build websites for our partners.
  • Continuously pay attention to and keep up with best practices for social media graphics, analyze trends, and change styles regularly.
  • Collaborating with creative team members on creative brainstorms, strategies, and presenting concepts.
  • Lead on presenting work to partners, -explaining work processes and design choices, and walking through our concepts and projects. Must be comfortable communicating with clients.

What you bring to the table:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Procreate or Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Portfolio with strong examples of applicable skills.
  • Resume and/or LinkedIn highlighting relevant experience and interests.
  • Experience working in an agency and/or nonprofit or foundation setting is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrated ability to listen, lead and motivate others, and a genuine passion for thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment filled with like-minded creatives and advocates.
