The Young Legislators Program offers high school seniors in Stockton, Tracy, Mountain House or French Camp a unique, hands-on opportunity to explore the legislative process, strengthen their leadership skills, and give back to their communities through volunteerism and public service. Applicants must be seniors enrolled in a high school within Assembly District 13, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, have two letters of recommendation, a resume, and cover letter. Applicants must sign a photo release form, liability waiver, and commitment contract.This free program begins January 2026 and ends June 2026. Meetings are one saturday a month from 9 am to 1 pm. The final session is a trip to Sacramento fro hands on legislative experience.
