Survivors Know is hiring a Bilingual Community Organizer for Shift Change, a bilingual platform where workers can safely report harassment, wage theft, and discrimination. Key responsibilities involve working directly with Spanish-speaking hospitality workers and connecting them to resources, support, and collective power to improve conditions and build community. Additional responsibilities include developing a power map of Chicago's hospitality industry, building relationships with other aid groups, and identifying key issues and supporting action plans to resolve them. Applicants must be bilingual with fluency in both Spanish and English, have 2-3 years of experience organizing at least one campaign, and have familiarity with the hospitality industry. Applicants must have a trauma-informed mindset, be inclusive, and self-directed. This independent contracting position is located in Chicago, Illinois, and requires 30 hours per week. Payment is $4,000 a month with a $500 stipend to cover outside benefits and self-employment costs. The deadline to apply is summer 2026
