Description
The Center for Cultural Power is bringing back the Disruptors Fellowship, a program aiming to uplift and normalize historically underrepresented narratives in Hollywood. The fellowship includes the TV Writers Rooms Mentorship Program, a mock TV writers' room led by experienced TV writers. From August 11th to October 1st, nine fellows will meet twice a week to gain real-world experience and work on their own pitching packages. Fellows will receive a $3,000 stipend. To be eligible to apply, applicants must live in the Los Angeles area and be available to attend potential in-person gatherings, must submit 2 script samples in script form, must never have been staffed in a professional TV writer’s room, and must be able to fill out a W9 for payment (SSN and LLC's accepted). Applicants must also submit a 2-3 minute YouTube video or a one-pager explaining why they want to be part of the Writers Rooms Mentorship Program, and 3 references of artists or community members they have collaborated with. The Deadline to apply is June 5.
