The SPIO will work closely with the statewide campaign Leadership (CPEHN, Health Access, and Latino Coalition for Healthy California). This position is responsible for maintaining efficient outreach, advocacy, and mobilization to support TLC’s policy agenda. This position plays a critical role in building relationships with elected officials and with members of the TGI community to ensure the implementation of healthcare policy efforts from ideation to long-term performance. The SPIO will provide oversight and execute strategies led by and lift the voices and power of TGI people and their health care, and ensure that there is better health access for TGI people across California.

Proof of employment eligibility, valid California Driver’s License, and/or California Identification, and yearly automobile insurance.The SPIO is responsible for developing and implementing healthcare reform and creating policy strategies related to specific healthcare issues. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding strategist who can effectively convey the mission, policies, and advocacy efforts of The TransLatin@ Coalition to various constituencies, ranging from policymakers to local community members. This position will have a six-month performance probationary period upon hiring.
