Pay Range or Rate: $27.40 per hour

The Community Health Worker (CHW) is a full-time position focusing on community outreach, engagement, and education with The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC). The ideal candidate will be working to provide outreach services to Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, and Intersex people (TGI) to provide information and link community members to existing resources and services within Los Angeles County, The TransLatin@ Coalition, and other service providers. The ideal CHW would be proficient in English and Spanish and have clear professional guidelines about successfully working with people of (T.G.I.) experience and their needs. The ideal CHW will be a knowledgeable resource for individuals and families impacted by COVID-19, connecting them to essential health and social services. They will also foster strong partnerships with community organizations to maximize impact. The ideal CHW must be available to attend community events to promote programs and services and be able to work evenings and weekends. The CHW will be responsible for providing direct outreach services in collaboration with other staff from the TransLatin@ Coalition and the Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications (OCPSC).

This position will have a six-month performance probationary period upon hiring.
