Description
The Conservation Leadership Immersion Experience (CLIME) aims to strengthen and diversify conservation leadership by supporting undergraduates to transition successfully to high-impact conservation graduate training and careers through funded training, internships, and sustained mentoring. The program is geared towards current college juniors & seniors (those that plan to graduate in 2026 or 2027) from any 4-year college/university in the United States. Interested students can apply to three out of nine internships, ranging in location from the West Coast US, Guam, and Latin America. Scholars will spend 2 weeks, from May 31 – June 13, in person forming supportive cohorts. The next 8 weeks, from June 15 – August 7, are dedicated to the internship experience where scholars gain mentorship and experience in collaborative conservation science and action. Scholars receive $10,800 over the ten-week summer in three payments. Scholars should expect to spend a portion of those funds on living expenses (housing, groceries, and transportation) during their 8-week internship. Students must submit their Google Form application and letter of recommendation by February 1, 2026.
