The United Way Fresno Madera Immediate Relief Grant is available to non-profits that can provide immediate support to residents of Madera County. Applying organizations must hold non-profit status, be based in Madera County, support people in crisis with direct service, have a history of successful direct service, and use all the funds to support communities. Chosen organizations will present their proposal to the Resident Council, which will select two winners to receive the $45,000 and $33,000 awards. Organizations focused on farmwork support, job placement, blue-collar families, and low-income support will be prioritized for the grant.
