This scholarship is open to Hispanic or Latino highschool senior or undergraduate students living and attending school in Utah. Applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and must be in or attending a two-year or four-year college, a certificate program, or trade/vocational school. Applicants must have demonstrated involvement or leadership in school, community and/or other service organizations.Must complete and submit application by January 5, which includes three short essays, a copy of unofficial high school or college transcript, and one letter of recommendation. Winners MUST ATTEND the Somos Gala on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 PM in West Valley City, to receive their award. Enrollment to higher education in Utah at least part-time will be verified. Scholarships awarded in amounts of at least $1,500 based on relative need and the following criteria; academic achievement, financial need, community involvement, transcript, resume, and letter of recommendation.
