The 2027 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Culinary Arts are six $50,000 awards granted to six immigrant culinary professionals with outstanding achievements in their field. To be eligible for the prize, applicants must have 4 years in the US, have been born outside the US to non-American parents, be a permanent resident or naturalized citizen of the US, be 38 years old or younger, have 5 years of professional experience in their culinary field, and not be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. Eligible career fields include Culinary artists, beverage professionals, artisans & food makers, culinary writers, and multi-media specialists producing culinary-related entertainment. To apply, a CV, three essay responses, a portfolio of five sample works, five examples of media coverage of your work, and 2 references must be submitted. The application deadline is May 4, 2026.
